STAR GAZING IN DON BOSCO ICSE SCHOOL, CHITRADURGA
Don Bosco ICSE School, Chitradurga organized "Star Gazing" on 24th January, 2009. Students of Classes V to IX had come to observe the planets and the stars through a telescope. I was fortunate to be there for the show. The expert began the programme at 6 pm with the introductory talk through slides. He explained about the history of the universe, stars, pleanets, galaxy, etc through slides. The students asked many questions to him. Then all were taken to the field to observe and study the stars and planets. He explained about constellations too!! The children enjoyed the programme. They spent the whole the night in the school itself. I showed them few videos during the programme. It was very enriching programme for me. I hope I can organise similar programme in Infant Jesus School too.

MY NEW CLASS OF 9 IN DON BOSCO ICSE SCHOOL
Hello,
This is my new class of IX in Don Bosco ICSE school, Chitradurga. You must be wondering how am I teaching in two schools? It happened last year. Im the Headmaster of Infant Jesus High School, Challakere. I had to go for a meeting in Shimoga last year. Since Don Bosco Fathers had a vehicle , I went with them to Shimoga. On our way to Shimoga, the then Principal, Fr Pius requested me to find one geography teacher. I told him that Challakere is smaller town than Chitradurga and therefore it is not possible to get a geography teacher there. Then he requested me to come on Saturdays and Sundays to teach geography in his school till he finds a teacher. So there I am! They have still not found the teacher.
Students of Don Bosco are very smart, hardworking and intelligent. I enjoy teaching them even though it is quite far away from my school. I have been using various methods to make geography interesting. This is my third batch of students. There are 65 students in this class. I have taken only two classes so far. I'm enjoying teaching their class. I don't know how long I will teach them. Hope they get a full time geography teacher soon. All the best, boys and girls!!!

MY VISIT TO IRELAND
Hello,
I was privileged to go to Ireland and Qatar in the year 2005. I was transferred from Bajpe to Challakere (Chitradurga District) on 8th February, 2005 . On 1st of July, 2005, I went to Ireland. After reaching Dublin, I stayed in one of our friends (Des Murray) along with Br James from Kurseong. The next day we drove to Northern Ireland for an one month's programme called 'TOIR'. Many Brothers, co-workers of Brothers and Presentation Sisters from different parts of the world came for this programme. I had wonderful time with them. Our Founder Blessed Edmund Rice is from Ireland and I had the opportunity to visit the Founder's house, his first school, etc. After the programme, I stayed with another friend Carmel who took me all over Ireland. I really felt at home. Thank you, Carmel and Des. These are some of the photographs of my visit to Ireland.
