CHRISTIAN BROTHERS - THE ESSENCE OF ST. JOSEPH'S by YOUR STUDENTS (1990-1993)

Christian Brothers - The Essence of St. Joseph's

Too often we progress through the ‘ropes of life,’ and do not take the time to express our gratitude and authentic value for the support our teachers so eagerly share for our growth, as not only students, but also as global citizens of society.

Here we take the opportunity to take time and express our gratitude to you , dear Brothers,  for those few years of being your students . You made us feel authentically supported when you said, “Please let me know how I can be helpful” and genuinely meant it. Also, the excitement you expressed to co-learn with us rather than teach us, made us feel like  partners in our learning experience, when it is so easy to feel like ‘a sponge that can only absorb.’ We  know you had so much to share, but we loved how you also openly articulated how much we had to share as well and how much you learn by engaging with us!

Dear Brothers, As educators,  your title can ensure a role of heightening our knowledge in academics. However, you saw us not as one of the many students you have, but instead you valued us for our uniqueness and strengths. You promoted an environment where we felt like we are able to not only share our  contribution, but also know it is actually considered and appreciated.

You , dear Brothers, have changed our whole aspect on our learning, we wouldn't be where we are today without you. Your encouragement and persistence in our junior years has taught us that we are who we are, and to get to the top, it’s all down to us . We are capable, but it will take hard work and lots of dedication.

Hence , dear Brothers, we thank you for being genuine. Thank you for seeing us as  partners in learning and sharing. Thank you for being you. Thank you for being few of the  great teachers out there. May you inspire others to achieve the greatness you have.

Your students from 1990 to 1993
